Hello!

We’re continuing our series of team building activities to be done over video conferencing. Before your meeting have your staff go search through their couch cushions for some loose change and bring those coins to the meeting.  If folks can’t find any change, then you can use the picture below.

pocket changeTake turns picking a coin and reading off the date the coin was created.  For each date have everyone share something significant that happened to them in that year.  For example, 2000: The year I made the varsity basket ball team in high school.  2011: The year I started working for this company.

If a date is picked that is before someone is born, they can share something that happen that year that affected their life, for example: 1958: the year my father was born.

Facilitation Tip: There is no definite end to this activity, unless you run out coins. Monitor the interest of the group and end the game before it starts to get tedious–leave them wanting more.

I look forward to the day when the challenge course can be available to help your teams reunite. Until then stay safe, stay healthy, stay connected!

Thank you,
