Single Mom Families Weekend

June 30 – July 2, 2023

Tilikum’s Single Mom & Family Weekend emphasizes times of spiritual and relational renewal, exploring creation, building community, encountering God and transforming lives. Whether exploring the grounds during a nature hike, or racing up the climbing wall together, the setting, the people, and the presence of God create an ideal opportunity to experience life side by side. Single moms and their kids (entering 1st grade and up) are invited to spend a relaxing weekend at Tilikum, just enjoying each other! Take time to be encouraged by biblical teaching and wonderful worship times, playing in the woods, canoeing on the lake, or just enjoying some down time. There will be times together as well as times for moms to be alone while the kids are with Tilikum counselors. A truly refreshing weekend and a great memory-making opportunity for your family! Weekend price includes lodging for two nights, five meals and all program activities.

Program

eva-flores-estrada-musicianWorship Leader – Eva Flores Estrada

I grew up in Oregon and have dedicated much of my life to worship ministry from the age of 8. I am currently part of a Salem-based worship band called Cherry City Worship as well as serving at my home church. I find such joy in serving and being able to use the gifts God has given me to bless others and worship Him. I work at a faith-based non-profit in Canby as a bookkeeper and am also serving as Moderator for the Council of Hispanic Anabaptists, Churches of the Northwest in my Conference. I’m thankful for any opportunity to serve and look forward to seeing the Lord move!

ellie-hartman-musicianCampfire Song Leader – Ellie Hartman

Ellie Hartman is an exuberant PNW singer/songwriter whose style is a blend of Indie, Pop, and Folk. Some of her recent performances include the Singer Songwriter Night at the magnificent Walter’s Cultural Arts Center and on the stage of the Newberg Lavender Festival, as well as many other festivals, wineries, and places of joyful gathering. This year, she’s also had the pleasure of collaborating with her band The Oaks, which includes tenor saxophone, piano, and drums.

Whether performing with a band or solo, Ellie’s goal is always to give the people around her a boost of energy through upbeat tunes and thoughtful lyrics. As someone who always prioritizes kindness, she wants everyone to feel welcome and at home during her performances.
