Here’s how you can participate in the ministry at Camp Tilikum.
Pray
“The effective prayer of a righteous man an accomplish much.” —James 5:16~
Prayer changes things. And the first and most basic thing we can do is to pray. Won’t you consider praying for whatever God lays on your heart, which could include:
- leadership including Executive, Administrative Staff, and the Tilikum Board
- ministry with campers, summer staff and guests
- projects around Camp
- safety
- finances
If you would like more information about how to pray for the ministry at Tilikum, request a copy of the most recent Living Stones newsletter. Email Dennis Littlefield/Executive Director, or call Dennis at (503) 538-2763, ext. 103.
Volunteer
From its inception in 1971, volunteers have been the heart of Tilikum, and the Camp has been enriched with many thousands of volunteer hours. Tilikum’s success is based upon the generosity of volunteers in many roles including:
- volunteer summer camp counselors
- retreat center hosts for retreat groups and food service
- behind-the-scenes operations
- project volunteers as individuals, couples, and small groups
- projects for larger groups
- Camp hosts for landscaping, or other maintenance projects

Every kid to Camp
The truth is, not every family has the resources to send their child to summer camp.
When you contribute to the Summer Camp Scholarship Fund, 100% of your donation goes directly to sending kids to camp. Summer camp gets kids outdoors and away from devices and social media into an environment of discovery where they can make new friends and learn life skills. Contributions to the Summer Camp Scholarship fund can be made via PayPal, Venmo, credit card, written check, or electronic funds transfer (ETF).

Advocate with your church
Since 1971 Tilikum has been partnering with local churches to bring kids to Camp. When youth ministers bring kids to camp they maximize the camp experience for their youth, building stronger relationships within their group, and helping them develop stronger relationships with God.
We can help you plan to bring your youth group to Summer Camp at Tilikum. Reduced rates are available for groups of 10 or more, and Tilikum provides helpful information and tools for coordinating with your church.
