Program
Speaker – Joseph Thouvenel
Joe cares deeply about people and their growth. Over the years this calling has taken a variety of forms: through eleven years at Twin Rocks Friends Camp planning and facilitating programs for children, youth, and adults; through the exploration of church history and Christian spirituality during his years in seminary; through his role coaching leaders and teams as a change consultant at Providence Health; and most recently as Director of Engagement and Culture at George Fox University. Beyond his work, Joe desires to pursue God’s calling by being a husband and father that demonstrates Christ to his family through both his words and actions. He has been married to Stephanie for 17 years and has two children, Hope (13) and Tad (10). Perhaps his greatest joy is seeing his children become more and more aware of the unique ways God has created them and the deep love God has for them.
Worship Leader – Mark Johnson
Mark Johnson is an Associate Pastor at Northside Community Church in Newberg, and has many fond memories as a camper and counselor at Tilikum. Mark’s wife Elissa is a nurse, and he has a son, Micah (11) and a daughter, Sonya (7). Mark is excited to lead worship and spend time with other Fathers/Daughters at this retreat!
