Mother and Daughter Weekend
May 12-14, 2023
Tilikum offers programs that emphasize times of spiritual and relational renewal, exploring creation, building community, encountering God and transforming lives. Whether exploring the grounds during a nature hike, or racing up the Climbing Wall together, the setting, the people, and the presence of God create an ideal opportunity to experience life side by side. Mothers and daughters (entering 1st grade and up) are invited to retreat together in a relaxing, country setting. Highlights include three fun-filled days of laughter, fun activities and great Bible teaching, all in a spectacular setting surrounded by God’s beautiful creation. Best of all, the memories made during this very special weekend will last forever! The weekend price includes lodging for two nights, five meals and all program activities.

Program
Speaker – Joy Lujan
Joy Lujan is the pastor at Whitney Friends Church in Boise. She’s a wife, moma to six children, ranging from 33 to 16 years old, and Nana to three wonderful grandchildren (12, 3 and 1 year).
Joy brings to our weekend together her experiences as a mom to three bonus kids, an adopted son, and two biological sons. She is excited to share some things Jesus has carried her through the past twenty years—some wonderful times and some pull her hair out and wail times. She will likely laugh and cry with us; sometimes at the same time.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (2016) in Business Management and Bible, and a Master of Fine Arts degree (2017) in Quaker Studies from Barclay College. She is a recorded minister with Northwest Yearly Meeting.
Worship Leader – Eva Flores Estrada
I grew up in Oregon and have dedicated much of my life to worship ministry from the age of 8. I am currently part of a Salem-based worship band called Cherry City Worship as well as serving at my home church. I find such joy in serving and being able to use the gifts God has given me to bless others and worship Him. I work at a faith-based non-profit in Canby as a bookkeeper and am also serving as Moderator for the Council of Hispanic Anabaptists, Churches of the Northwest in my Conference. I’m thankful for any opportunity to serve and look forward to seeing the Lord move!
