I am serving in my 20th year as pastor of West Chehalem Friends Church located in the Chehalem Valley just outside of Newberg, Oregon, only a couple miles from Camp Tilikum. My wife Nancy and I love being involved in camps, especially those that serve young people and families, and are focused on sharing the love of Jesus. I have always enjoyed the outdoors – fishing, hiking, camping, biking, skiing, kayaking – wow, there are so many things to do in God’s beautiful creation! Nancy and I have three amazing sons and two wonderful daughters-in-law. Combined we live in four different states so our times together are really meaningful. I am looking forward to spending a weekend with fathers and sons at this special annual retreat at Tilikum.
Chuck Sabin is a Singer/Songwriter/Musician who enjoys entertaining and loves to lead others into meaningful and enjoyable worship. He is presently serving as a pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Newberg, Oregon. Chuck & Deb have been married for 37 years and have five boys; or as Chuck likes to put it, “Five boys have him!” Before becoming a pastor Chuck was a Family & Youth Minister for sixteen years in the Minneapolis, Mn area.
