Program
Speaker – Beth and Dan Banham
After spending her first 8 years in Ethiopia with missionary parents, Beth moved home to Oregon where she fell in love with flush toilets, hot baths, and Coca-Cola. Eventually she also fell in love with Dan. Because they both loved Jesus and his people, they became half of the team that founded City’s Edge Community Church back in 1997. Grant, who was trying to master crawling and eating cheerios, didn’t know what he was signing up for. But he grew to love Jesus and his people too, and became one of those rare kids who wasn’t quite sure he wanted to go on vacation because it meant missing church.
Today both Grant and City’s Edge are 23 years old and all three Banhams continue to love and serve the church in various capacities. Beth has in recent years begun speaking at a variety of conferences and retreats, and has a blog at www.bethbanham.com. Grant spent several summers serving at Twin Rocks as camp counselor and summer staff, and currently works for Hillsboro Park & Recreation. This will be Beth and Grant’s first opportunity to speak together.
