Tilikum Day Camps
(for campers entering 1st – 6th grades)
Since the summer of 1972, Tilikum Day Camp has been providing Southwest Portland area kids with their first extended experience in God’s beautiful out-of-doors. Each week, small groups (10-12) of similarly aged kiddos explore Tilikum’s 93 acres under the careful guidance of our specially trained college-age staff. Together, they encounter life-skill building (making friends, swimming, nature studies), Christ-centered truths, and a whole lot of fun!
“I love this camp and what an incredible way to blend nature, God, fun and the most amazing experience ever!! It is Ian’s 3rd year and he loves it!! Thank you all.” – Day Camp Parent
Your child will spend over 35 hours in God’s Great Outdoors! Day Camp classics like the Tree House and the Big Swing provide ways to experience God’s beautiful creation up close and personally. Activities like nature hikes, visiting the barn animals, canoeing, and swimming in Lake Tilikum teach your child new skills and an appreciation for nature.
Connect with God
Daily “trail talks” present biblical truths in a story telling format. Kids are encouraged to ponder the story to hear what God is saying to them personally.
Day Camp staff look for ways to build a small community within each camper group. Silly games, songs, and new shared experiences draw kids together.
Unplug from Technology
A week at Camp Tilikum removes your child from the ever present draw of technical devices. Face-to-face encounters with staff and new friends give your child ample opportunities to develop social skills. Lifelong recreational options like hiking, singing, and archery are introduced.
