Mother & Daughter Weekend

Friday, May 12 – Sunday, May 14, 2017

Tilikum offers programs that emphasize times of spiritual and relational renewal, exploring creation, building community, encountering God and transforming lives. Whether fishing on the lake, exploring the grounds during a nature hike, or racing up the Climbing Wall together, the setting, the people, and the presence of God create an ideal opportunity to experience life side by side.

Mothers and daughters (entering 1st grade and up) are invited to retreat together in a relaxing, country setting. Highlights include three fun-filled days of laughter, fun activities and great Bible teaching, all in a spectacular setting surrounded by God’s beautiful creation. Best of all, the memories made during this very special weekend will last forever!

The weekend price includes lodging for two nights, five meals and all program activities.

Speaker: Cara Copeland

Cara and her family make their home in Newberg, Oregon.  She is the mother of 3 teenage children, Jack, Henry & Lily. She has found parenting strength in recognizing her gifts, owning her failures and figuring out how to live each day one at a time.  She has served as a high school Spanish teacher, University administrator, adjunct Sociology faculty, teen parent mentor and is currently leading an early childhood program in her community.  Cara and her husband Andy have found parenting all their children, including one with special needs, to be both rewarding and challenging – every day!  When she has the opportunity to choose her own leisure activity, Cara can be found having coffee with friends, running, reading or watching football or movies!
